Brainfart will sign Pope to a lifetime contract before officially stepping down.
He had a good season. Time well tell how legit he actually is. He has a career winning percentage of .627. I know of a certain coach with a slightly higher career winning percentage that gets slammed unmercifully and regularly referred to as trash or at best mediocre around here.
Much as we disagree in general, you are spot on.
According to AI the buyout is $10 million. I know, in this day and time, a million dollars isn't all that much but it isn't exactly chump change either. Plus, the fact that he signed the contract may very well indicate that he isn't interested in leaving. Vandy is actually a nice position in a nice city (well, it was at one time). I could see him sticking around.
