How many “ici” players does ILL has?!

Big Z and his brother plus Mirkovic would have been our players if OA was accepted by MP.

oh well, he went the Mormon pipeline instead Of OA who has very good connections in European and Central American basketball….not smart move by Pope . The mormon market is small and already covered by BYU and Ut S.

hopefully, this year new assistants will be selected from people with other zone of expertise other than Mormon market.

Z is a great talent. Truly top 10 pick worthy. Underwood owes everything to O. That roster is nasty. They're a legit threat.

Also z is a picture perfect example of how Cal changed. At UK, z would've been pushed to the NBA after first year.

Ummm… Is this a joke?

Or are you’re getting Z and his brother confused? Z is not very good. He’’s just a backup who only plays when his bro needs a rest. And NOBODY in the NBA is interested in him.

More like “Antigua asks to keep job at Kentucky, is told to kick rocks and then recruits talent to help Illinois go to the Final Four while the guy who told him to leave is fighting for his job.”
He didn’t recruit any of them to Illinois

Z plays 10 minutes a game for Illinois. His brother T is a much better player. So are you sure you aren’t confused?

I agree about his brother being better. Im talking about talent alone, in normal years hed he worth a top 10 pick. Great size, length, athleticism, and skill.

Ok maybe top 10 is too strong. Lets say top 20.

There is no universe or weak draft year where big Z even gets a sniff in the second round. Lol

Z has improved greatly since being at ill
Shows what coaching can do
No, he really hasn’t. Some of y’all seem to be confused about which Ivisic brother you’re watching.

Tomislav is the good one. Z is just his backup.

This is an insanely clueless post.

No NBA team would ever remotely consider drafting Z with a “top 10 or top 20” pick. Not just this year, not ANY year. He ain’t even considered a second round prospect.

Nba doesn't draft on production. It drafts on potential. A 7'2" skilled elite athlete with size is a typical draft and develop player they go for.

You have no clue what you’re talking about. He’s not considered an “elite athlete”, his skills aren’t that special, and he ain’t ever gonna getting drafted at all, not even as a second rounder (much less in the “top 10 or top 20” LOL).

The bother is def better but I will say big Z has improved.

Dude has made 83% of his two point FG. Heck if you just consider the Big 10 conference games he's still at 80%. In one of the best conferences (maybe the best) this season.

His block % was 12.8%. 4th in all of D1. His def rebounding % is 21.7%........100th among all players in D1.

It's insane to say he's the same player.

Correct. People just remember the lumbering guy that played here. Now he slimmed down and even physically looks entirely different.

If nothing else just watch the one sequence from a few games ago where he partially blocked a dunk then raced down and absolutely posterized 2 defenders. His head looked above the rim.

He has massive potential. Not yet totally realized, but its still there.

The dude is nearly 23 years old and, despite three years of CBB experience, is still just a college backup getting only limited backup minutes.

He does NOT have “massive potential”. If he was ever gonna blossom into something dramatically different, it would’ve started to happen before now. What you see is pretty much what you get with him at this point …a solid college backup big, but not any sort of legit NBA prospect.

Making 83% on 2s is just insanity lol.

And the brother is at 74%.

No wonder why this team not only has the best offense this season but putting up humbers as a historically good offense.

Dear always a cat cult: Z has been at three different colleges over the last three seasons, and hasn’t done anything meaningful at any of them. Am I wrong?

The big indicator in Z’s development is the decrease in fouling and turnovers.

His TS%, Block%, and Reb% have been stable. He’s much better at making decisions on O and moving defensively as exemplified by better turnover and foul rates.
