It's painful to realize how close we were to being a Final Four team this year. We might never get this close again.
The opportunity to get close to there should not be taken for granted.

They might beat us but they still don't win any big games

What a shocking coincidence that Painter got his personal butt boy DJ Carstensen assigned to this game.
We’ll see which team, Iowa or Nebraska, finishes with a better hoops record next season?
They played well against us...shot over 50% I believe, did a great job of quick passing, finding the open guy, hitting open shots. They also had a guy who could get to the rim in one on one situations. Our guy Mast was 4-16 and was throwing up air balls from 5 feet away. Talent was the difference in the game. They had a playmaker, and our one guy who can score in isolation had a terrible game. I really didn't want to play a team that we have already played twice. Our defense is unique, as is our offense, but because we don't have great individual players we rely on system. Iowa is completely familiar with our system and has played us well in all three games. We also were nearly .500 since we started 20-0...so not really finishing strong. Hoiberg needs to get somebody who can get to the rim, it is ok to have all of the motion and dribble hand-offs but it looks like we will be playing teams 2-3 times a year in high leverage situations and we need somebody who can simply beat their guy, draw a double, and dish out for a 3.
