Typical Cal, look over there! Don’t focus on me yet again not having my team prepared in a huge game. He couldn’t even keep their emotions in check. They cracked bad.
I kept telling my wife ( @Cowtown Cat didn’t steal ur saying I just had to use it this time too) look at Calipari over there. Complete and utter shock at what he knew was about to happen. Arkansas even employed thug ball to try something to shake them up lol. He knew it early. 2nd half he’d stand up and sit down, and then just sit for long stretches. Calipari knew Arkansas fans were but to see how much of a fraud he is. He only won the tournament because Florida wanted to go home to work on back to back and his road skid wider than I’ve ever seen that tournament do.
Calipari is well aware his teams cannot compete with elite. Arkansas fans are now starting to get it. This will likely be his best team there, he’s going 1 or 2 more years, and I suspect one of those seasons might be a struggle to make the tournament and another short lived exit. Yes we likely made a bad hire but we were not wrong in seeing that Calipari didn’t adapt and turned into a money sucking fraud.

Calipari just can’t help himself. He pissed another loaded roster away, but he’s more concerned about Kentucky. Typical Calipari, always focused on the wrong thing. God only knows the amount of NIL money Tyson and Walmart will give him for next season. Might be $35 million.
Seems like he‘s motivated now, but only because he wants to buy a championship to stick it to Kentucky.

An article from Sports Illustrated yesterday makes the argument that Calipari is going to have to put more effort into getting better older guys – at least in the Frontcourt – if Ark. is ever going to compete for a title.
As you said, the article suggests the problem isn’t money, as Ark. has had and will have the money to land older guys if Calipari wants to. The issue, however, is Calipari’s doesn’t have the desire to do it. Stated that those who "cover CBB for a living" believe roster construction is the reason Arkansas’ perennial ceiling is likely "another No. 4 or 5 seed with a solid wall waiting to shut them out once again in the Sweet 16."
At this point, Calipari’s ultimate end game is not winning a championship - although he’d gladly take one, and as you said would probably love to stick that in UK's face - his primary goal is something else. UK fans know what that something else is – it's getting 5-star freshmen drafted as high as possible to help Calipari build what he sees as his legacy. The marketing major has certainly shown he earned his degree, as he’s been very successful in building his legacy as the coach who “made” the most Pros. He’ll add two more this year, and probably a couple more next season. Those recruiting wins will likely appease and sustain him at Ark. until he’s “helped” enough families (marketing major indeed).
That right there was the true death knell for Cal. Like dude “what are you doing?”
I think even Few commented on it like he was shocked or confused why he was able to do that repeatedly.
Cal had to go. Problem is we got a dude that believes his own hype and has proved nothing. Showed he MIGHT have a spark but has yet to light a fire. Meanwhile we’re being frozen out.
1-1 is more accurate. Hall of fame> horse crap. Only thing Pope knows is to lose 10+ games every year least Cal can recruit elite players go to final fours and he has won the championship.

if CalaMARI was a top 5 Coach he would still be in Lexington. Instead, Arkansas bought a punch drunk boxer whose glory years are waaaaaayyy in the past. Even his die hard new fanbase at the Arkansas trailer parks will only be fooled for so long.
