Regardless we owe the FIBS a beatdown aa they have won 9 out of the 10 but they can have that streak but we will definitely take the W tonight for payback…we can definitely win… keep the magic alive

Totally. They made the tournament really fun for the first time of my adult life. Only once have I been old enough to remember an Iowa team making it to the second weekend of the tournament. And they're this close to making the THIRD and FINAL weekend when they were tripping over their feet against Penn State a couple weeks ago. It might be a long time before we get to experience this again. I hope not, but the reality is that getting this far is REALLY hard unless you're a perennial top team. You can't win 'em all, but finally we've got a team that is winning when it matters.
Stirtz commented he had one shot at a final 4 in D2 and he missed it because they got beat by a buzzer beater. I think we will see a monster game from him tonight.

Yeah, the odds are the Hawks lose. If they do, that still won't diminish the magic of this season. Here we are, the day the Regional Finals start, and the Hawks are still here. One of the last 8 standing. No matter what happens tonight this will go down as one of the greatest in Iowa basketball history.
If I loses today we need to have a serious look at the coaching situation.
This team has definitely overachieved. More importantly, they've done it in a way and on a big stage that's going to vault the program forward.
