As long as the Duke/UConn winner doesn’t take it all it won’t be bad.

Beating UK counts for very little these days.
UT only made 7, 3 pointers. Some of us saw that they were weak underneath in the game thread and begged Pope to throw the ball down to MO, and even MM. Pope didn’t get the memo, it was ISO ball only. What a terrible look for us. This season can’t get much worse. Well I guess it can with a Duke, UConn, or UT in the final four. I guess Popes pups will want to hang a banner for beating UT twice.
It's crazy how easily Tennessee beat them after they beat the holy **** out of us, considering we beat them twice. Having an actual PG to move the ball away from their pressure helped.
This. We failed to the pressure. It wasn’t like we weren’t beating the **** out of them early. They adjusted and Pope went stupid.
Now we have to hope Duke beats UConn and UM keeps UT out of the FF.

We could have easily beat them. It shows how awful we and Pope are. Without Jefferson they aren’t the same team.

One good thing is that if Arizona shows up to play like they can, I don’t see anybody beating them.

It will take one heck of a performance by the officials for Duke to beat Arizona or Michigan. I'm not saying it can't happen, I just don't think it will.

Don't worry. UT has hit their usual ceiling at the FInal 8. Michigan is a vastly superior team and will humble them. I would bet my house on it.
I did not see Jefferson playing in our game when Pope let them run us off the court. The difference in the Tennessee win and our defeat was DEFENSE. We just could not defend a fence post this year as well as last year. Until we can disrupt a teams offense, we have zero chance of ever winning #9. Every team in the elite eight have one thing in common, they play in your jock defense.
Look at the Hubert Davis divorce and the hatred his son has for UNC. It’s going to get messier for pope abd Kentucky I’m afraid. And he went to the championship game a few years ago. If this doesn’t end soon, we will hate the popes and the popes will hate Kentucky. It’s inevitable

UT’s bigs were a lot better than ours and IS couldn’t throw it in the ocean. UT outrebounded IS 42-18!
Yes, getting down like 15 or more n both games this year against UT was the best coaching I've seen.
Fact is Kentucky just wasn't good and sad that Tennessee has a better program now
This. The inability to handle pressure defense killed us in so many games this year (and it was just painful watching guys like Jasper try to do it). And it was also our undoing in Pope’s first season after Butler got injured.
if there’s anything Pope’s first two years should’ve taught him, it’s that he needs a ballhandling wizard point guard. I hope that’s our first priority when we go shopping in the transfer portal market next month.
