Just very very difficult to beat. We are making it a pain to play Mississippi State. The plate discipline and barrel hitting is incredible. Defense is serviceable at least. Clutch pitching is starting to show up. Oak is the real dentist.Pitz is the definite closer. Thigpen incarnate!!

Lem sat back and let Cann's players do their thing. BOC is visible, not hiding in the dugout, pushing buttons, right or wrong, but always making up for the wrong. This team and staff are special.

I like Pitz as well. He may not throw in the mid to upper 90's like Thigpen, but he's got great strikeout stuff. I am very encouraged watching him deal. Hopefully, before this season is over, we'll have a couple more youngsters step up and support our staff in a big way. And maybe by the time the Regionals roll around, we'll add McPherson back into the lineup.Pitz is the definite closer. Thigpen incarnate!!
The term “team” is correct. Got to like the chemistry and toughness.

Baseball is a funny game. I actually think it's the hardest national championship to win. You have to be on for four weekends straight in the postseason, each one gradually tougher. Then you have to avoid the hot team. We were the hot team in '13 and ran into the juggernaut with UCLA. We were the hot team in '21 and delivered. This is a team that can win the title like LSU has - by undeniably being the best team in the country.
The 1989 team was probably the best team we ever had and they did not make it to Omaha. The 2016 team that lost to Arizona in a home Super Regional was really good. This team has that same feeling.

I don’t know if it’s the hardest to win but it is the most random. 83, 84, 89, & 16 dint make it to CWS, but a very mediocre 07 teams does.
