Exactly. Steel hardens steel. But silly putty against silly putty just gives you an amorphous blob signifying nothing. After three seasons of Rhule and his revolving door group of assistants, we have seen only the tiniest of improvements over Riley/Frost. The proof will come this Fall: we aren’t any better than we have been and may even be worse.

New chapter. But the same story and the same characters. We are a bottom tier football program right now. And we will be until we prove otherwise.
Compare to seasons Other than Riley’s 2 year, there has been more than a tiny improvement. But any hope to see more is not there.
A simple challenge for the glass half full guys: Please name one thing in this video that any other P4 school couldn't have in their spring video? What is unique about this team/coach/video? "Head down, working hard." Got it.

At least we know who RB1 is. And things are pretty vanilla in a spring game. I have learned to jab myself in the foot with a poker whenever I begin to feel optimistic about next fall. Context. Nothing is ever as it appears. The problem now is I am not sure how all this appears. ST returns had a certain "foley" feel to them. Kickers looked good. Hard to know how good our defense will be this fall. The Qb room needs a lot of work. Mixed bag. Typical I guess. Rule and Nelson with a little Booth sprinkled in might be a good RB room.

No, this board is just being honest. Some of us don't find enjoyment from lying to ourselves. Or lying to others and hoping they believe you. No matter how much spin you put on something, just pretending it's reality doesn't make it true. In fact, if anything, that is pathological.
I’m at 6 wins so don’t confuse me with a sunshine pumper. I’m just not going to wallow in negativity over the situation. I think Coleandra is going to be fun to watch.
How am I lying to myself or anybody else? I’ve been saying 6 wins is most likely for us. I enjoy watching the Huskers. I enjoy the unknowns of a new QB and new season. Not gonna predict failure before it happens.
Especially when the McAfee show and Keeping Up With The Raiola's exposed his coaching incompetence. He'd be a half-decent manager but Rhule isn't the biggest problem for this program. Dare I say he's just the punching bag while the NU Athletics administration keeps sabotaging its biggest cash cow.
