He signed a contract with Nike and I assume he has been cashing the checks. I would think Nike would have had some binding language in there about going to a Nike school and not an Adidas school. KY a Nike school and Kansas an Adidas school.

If Nike has such language in the contract, and the contract even leaked, he would become ineligible. I believe any arrangement such as that would need to be off the books.

We were doing great with Nike until Cal didn’t wanna play in the PK80 tournament. From there, it all went downhill.

The problem is Pope! The reasoning is correct. If we are offering 2 million more than KU and he hasn't already accepted, that is the problem itself. That Pope would either miss on a guy OR need to offer 2 million more to get him.
