I would have already given him a deadline before my better offer expired. If no commitment by X date then the NIL package declines and I’m extending other offers. Coaches let these players and their handlers have too much control and go all in and end up getting screwed. If you’re not the dog wagging the tail then the tail will wag the dog. If reports are true that he prefers Kansas over UK I don’t want him here anyway, he will never be truly bought in.

Pope played hardball like that last year and got his *** handed to him recruiting wise. That old school approach doesn’t cut it.

Not really. Number 1 , he still hasn’t announced anything.
#2 - he is from Louisville and like it or not, his family and most blacks in Louisville, do not like UK.
If I were a black person, I wouldn't like UK either. Afterall, UK was the first school to play black football players in the SEC.

Not what anyone is going to want to hear, but he still sees him as a Kansas lean, even with the Nike situation and the Self retirement situation.
If Mark loses him, it will be the first time a Nike kid has chosen an adidas school. It’s almost not possible and causes problems with Nike doing business with you down the road. I mean you’ll be wearing adidas while cashing Nike checks. Trust me Nike doesn’t take that lightly.

And I did early in the year no way he goes adidas. It’s never happened I mean I didn’t think it could happen. Yea signing with New Balance and wearing Nike happens but that’s different. This is a Nike kid going to an adidas school. It’s never happened without a school switching to Nike soon after they signed. Mark might be the first coach to actually lose a Nike kid to adidas.

You think Joe Tipton, is fishing for “clicks”?

The Belmont coach left, so I think that was the real reason he decommitted. I'm not sure if a UK recruitment had anything to do with it.

Mark of Cain heresy, not to mention the neo-Arian heresy of Jesus being the spiritual brother of Satan. And we wonder why God’s blessings on our program have disappeared.
Well, that sure stopped AJ from going to Brigham Young didn't it?

Mormons have problematic opinions of black people. And Native Americans for that matter. It’s literally in their scripture. If I were a black person, I’d never want to be associated with a Mormon. I certainly wouldn’t blame any black person who feels wary of one.
They literally believe Native Americans were white. And the real Native Americans were bad somehow so they got cursed by God.

Mormonism is in general a sham. The founder literally created a polygamous religion in order to make it socially acceptable for him to be ******* his teenage servant.

Any Mormons here want to contradict me, go ahead.

Yes, It says a commitment could be as soon as March 31st, and he hears kansas as the perceived leader

Also said uk could be the spot if kansas falls through
Thanks.

Also, hasn’t this been the situation for like the past six months? I’d be so pissed if I had paid for that information.

Wonder why Joe closed replies on that post.
So that people couldn't reply with Grok having checked the site and letting everyone know that there's no information of any substance.

But hey, this ain't Twitter.

Per Grok: "Tyran Stokes, the No. 1 ranked 2026 small forward and a 6-foot-7 prospect from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, remains uncommitted despite a recruitment that began heating up in late 2025, with On3 predicting Kansas as the frontrunner at 28.6% likelihood.
The post's accompanying image juxtaposes Stokes in his high school jersey against logos of Kentucky and Kansas, underscoring these blue-blood programs as primary contenders, especially after his recent visit to Kentucky in early March 2026.
Joe Tipton's update signals an imminent decision timeline for Stokes, potentially resolving a saga marked by delays, including a postponed commitment in January 2026, amid strong pushes from programs like Louisville (18.9% prediction) and USC."

TL;DR - the kid has to commit at some point and Kansas has a 25% chance at him. Big nothing burger.

I think organized religion in general could be perceived as bad, and I consider myself spiritual. Man tends to mess everything up lol
