Watching the last 5 minutes of a Nebraska football game is must watch TV. To see what creative way they come up with to lose the game this time.

I didn’t know they would carry that tradition over to Basketball.

Self imposing putting their player in the penalty box and letting Iowa run a Power Play.

Well done Nebraska! Once again, I did not have that scenario on my Bingo Card
Right. It’s almost like Ferentz purposefully will allow the Nebraska contest to be decided in the final minutes —just for maximum destructive effect. Numerous walk off game winning FGs e.g.

….except when he decides that a good old fashioned a-s-s kicking is in order.

I am not really sure how 5 coaches and a bunch of players ALL missed that. I just don't get it but I loved it.

I don't understand why this is a big issue. Every business has to control its pnl, sometimes you have to run a little short to keep wages in line.

The officials only count to make sure there are not MORE than 5 on the court.

It's not the officials' job to make sure you get 5 on the court. That's the coaches' job.

This is one of the all time coaching blunders. Cost the Huskers 3 points in a tight game.

Check this out & watch:

I may have given them too much credit. I figured they could do math up to where they had to take their shoes and socks off to count.

Assuming they are wearing shoes.

As mentioned in the post game, was that also a reffing error? Should that inbounds sequence have even started? The studio guys made it seem like the show can't go on with only 5 players. Now maybe that brings in some kind of delay of game technical? Or were they wrong in even saying that?
No, the refs make sure they don’t have more than five. Thats the extent of their responsibility. As a courtesy, they’ll often ask if the team wants to play with four, but they are not required to do so.
This was on Fred, his assistants, and Mast, who was supposed to be on the floor. You’d think after seven years of college ball he wouldn’t make that kind of mistake.
