I never really cared about logos, uniforms, etc.
It was on the basketball uniformsI think of the banner as more of a wordmark than a logo. Spliting hairs, I know.
The banner. It's changing again? Why ask?
I don’t either but if you think Strickland had anything to do with the MState “banner M” logo you’ve been living under a rock. Unless he decided to keep using it during his tenureDon't like either, both remind me of Scott Stricklins*
Sir this is 6 pack. Are you sure you're in the right place?I don't dislike either of these.
The got the black jerseys genders mixed up thís year. The girl’s softball team black’s look tougher and more masculine than the baseball team’s feminine gay &tate one’s this year.
100% correct.Scalding hot take: interlocking MSU. I think it's hideous and only popular because of nostalgia. Bunch of gen x people are driving the online discourse about it because it reminds them of their prime years. We had like one good year under it, we had more success under the banner M with Mullen. Its blocky and ugly.
If you're a traditionalist, we've worn variations of the interlocking MSU much more than we've worn variations of the banner M over the years.100% correct.
I've given up the good fight, as our own people try so hard to eliminate what little tradition we have. Baseball is literally all we got, and it's mainly because the toxic side of our fanbase largely stays out of it.
Let me rephrase, as I see how that could be confusing. If you're a traditionalist, we've worn variations of the interlocking MSU much more than we've worn variations of the banner M over the years.
I don't get into the logo debates because it's all subjective. The only one I ever truly hated was the Croom-error banner M. But saying that the lovers of the interlocking MSU logo are trying to eliminate tradition is a helluva shltty take.
Yep, they replaced it with more of a blocked 'Mississippi State'. Which I was alright with, it was a secondary logo. No problem improving those from time to time.I just looked it up. The 2nd one has been discontinued (retired) by the university for any promotions.
I agree with this take actually. And my scalding hot take is that we should use the M over S as the main logo for ALL sports. The majority of the ones that would be against that take are the baseball-onlyist- They act entitled and don’t want to be associated with the rest of the athletic department- but expect the football program and athletic department to fund their $5 million dollar deficit every year. In other words, our best sports logo is held hostage to be exclusive to a non-revenue money losing sport. These are the same people who stand in the way of the future health of our entire athletic department. They will see with the new rev sharing and as players payrolls increase every year.Scalding hot take: interlocking MSU. I think it's hideous and only popular because of nostalgia. It's not worth p*ssing off the fanbase even more. The fans want the interlocking MSU logo from the 90s and it looks like they've got it. Not as good as the M-State logo, but much better than &tate. Just keep it for the next 40 years or longer.100% correct.

I'll give them the helmet. And just leave it there. Heck even in the 90s when we still had the interlocking on the helmet full-time, we had the first iteration of the M-State on the field. It's not worth p*ssing off the fanbase even more. Number one, interlockers is our word. You will be cancelled if you continue to say it.I'll give them the helmet. And just leave it there. Heck even in the 90s when we still had the interlocking on the helmet full-time, we had the first iteration of the M-State on the field.
Helmet logos don't matter. LSU, South Carolina, a number of other schools have some sort of off logo on the helmet. I'm OK with letting that go.
The attitude of the interlockers is the bad part of this deal.
Consistency matters. Missouri and Mississippi State are the only schools that keep changing their helmet logos.I'll give them the helmet. And just leave it there. Heck even in the 90s when we still had the interlocking on the helmet full-time, we had the first iteration of the M-State on the field.
