Been around a long time. From College of Charleston and previously at Louisville........ Not an up and comer like Hodgson for sure.

Maybe this is a comfort hire like phillips was for us, as in a maybe an 'I'll stay for awhile' type of coach?. Let's hope he doesn't perform like a comfort hire. I remember him when he wasn't an up and comer, and he seemed to be a good coach.

He is a good coach. Took over a disaster of a situation at Louisville (sort of the same as Kragthorpe going there and having to clean out the prison pop from his locker room). And he did fairly well pre-COVID at Louisville and then something happened. He had that awful start that one year and Louisville didn't wait. Bit unfair to Mack considering he had been super successful...not just moderately successful throughout his career and even at Charleston. I would expect much of the same at USF...which isn't necessarily good news for us.
