I'm out of the Corby discussions. I've said my piece and am moving on. Since you brought it up I really hated it for Elam. I was hoping he'd be able to take out Josh Barr in the finals, but when I saw that televised match he lost to what was it a 10-seed, he literally looked injured and drugged (as in pain meds drugged). He did not look like Rocky Elam at all. Hated that!!
Smart move you've said enough BS and put enough words is my mouth. The best was when I said I talk to "coaches" and you then said that I claimed I talk TNT. People like you are the problem you make up stuff that fits your narrative
Now see Corby, I'm trying to take the high ground and you're not. And I didn't put any words in your mouth. And I didn't claim you talked to TNT. I read a post where you said words to the effect that you were in contact with TNT or they were in contact with you, and then someone (not me) asked words to the effect, do you talk to TNT and you said no, which made some wonder how are you in contact with TNT though haven't talked to them. That's it. Again, I don't want to argue any longer.
So others put words in my mouth and you decided to say the same got it. Moving on and won't be responding to you anymore

I don’t mind you joining the fray as you are one of the good guys and have always had good intentions. I’ve never spoken to Tom or anyone on the team nor gotten any closer to any of them but from my CHA seat, so can’t imagine ever what Tom thinks. So I’m asking anyone on this forum to please send me the post where I said I knew what Tom was thinking, and it can’t be me referencing another poster. If someone can do that I will gladly step away from this forum…no new names, etc., I will be gone. You can even send it privately. If it exists I’m gone. Go Hawks!

I don't know about the long term sustainability, but am curious to see what next year's team looks like with the incoming hammers, current hammers, and any portal guys he grabs. At the end of the day I know we're a few years out but it sure would be nice to see Penn State challenged come 2027 NCAAs.
DT is in it for certain. The only question at this point is does he settle in at number 2 or keep moving and pass PSU. Next year he won't catch him, but 2028 is a race.

With that said, just like Willy calling himself the Brain and telling us he is the smartest guy in wrestling ( he might be), it reminds me of the friend we all have who is rich, and almost every day he tells you how rich he is. I get it, pal, you're loaded.I see the BMW, I see the Rolex -you dont have to constantly remind me and say how rich you are on a regular basis.
Corby feels the need to remind us how he has connections we don't have and how he talks to coaches. I think it's awesome, and it often adds value---you just dont have to tell us that all the time or suggest that is why you know more than us--we get it
Now quit teasing and tell us who we might target in the portal!
Well I have never said I was "connected" . I said I talk to coaches. I have been around for years and know people in the wrestling word . It's not as big of a deal as people think. And after constantly being attacked I say smarta*s things back.
Basch, VanDeventer, Saylor, Pyles, Chapman, Sherrill, Klingman all have been around talking wrestling with themselves and anyone who would listen for quite a long bit now. Some wrestled, some didn't. People that write for The Mat, Wrestling Media, WIN and Smalls two companies that combined have just networked with others in the wrestling community. VanDeventer has been talking wrestling and over the years the circle just gets bigger with who they all talk to. The thing about it is for most, one person tells you something and that is it. When you have the amount of people all those guys know tell you something, there is most likely 4-5 more that will confirm it. Just makes "gossip" take a step into reality.
