Where do the Raney brothers fit in at Okie St? Wish we could get both of them back.
Ortega lost to Jax 4-1I'm quick to make sure everyone has the proper information. Agree with the Ono statement he's not old for D1 wrestling in these days. Hell Iowa St is trying to get 28 year old Ortega eligibility
Short answer, only one of them really fits, unless they bump people.Where do the Raney brothers fit in at Okie St? Wish we could get both of them back.
I believe it was 4-0 impressive either way with what Jax did to peopleOrtega lost to Jax 4-1
And Ortega basically has wrestled 0 folk. It is recorded as 4-1.I believe it was 4-0 impressive either way with what Jax did to people
No what he actually said was “I made that up”. I personally talked to Bouzakis and he said he no idea where that rumor came fromI believe "things change" was what we heard with Bouz too
I watched it and thought Jax got a takedown. Jax got an escape and Ortega went neutral. .And Ortega basically has wrestled 0 folk. It is recorded as 4-1.
Certainly will be a situation to monitor, the smaller one will probably go 133, only way that is going to work is if Forrest and Vega both move up to 41 & 49. The bigger raney then would have a tough time making the lineup unless robideau & Lockett could slide up to 65 & 74 and the bigger raney goes to 157. Someone a lot more informed than me will have to answer how feasible all that is, as this is just a guess. Would have loved for them to have been Hawkeyes.Where do the Raney brothers fit in at Okie St? Wish we could get both of them back.
if Blaze wanted to go 141 this year why didnt he? Surely he wasnt being dictated to 133 by Nagao or DavisDavino is not going 41. I’ve heard Blaze wanted to go 41 this year and will be going 41 next year.

Right... like Desmond at 133 and Blaze 141 would have been worse then blaze 133, Davis at 141 lolif Blaze wanted to go 141 this year why didnt he? Surely he wasnt being dictated to 133 by Nagao or Davis
So you really think Jax and Vega are gonna go out as true freshman, Jax for half a season in a stacked class, and Vega rather then wait for Mendez to finish his career, are thinking of RSing for any other reason now lol highly doubtfulJax, Vega, and at least one of the Raneys will have a redshirt and an Olympic to use if they want. They will have quite a bit of flexibility. I don’t know how it will all work either but I am sure they will find a way.
There is a head coaching job open at FDSH, right up his alley......He was noncommittal in his last interview about if he wanted to keep wrestling. Hopefully it's a short break to recharge and then he comes back.
Probably not barring injury. I could see Jax using his Olympic though since he has a really good shot at the 65kg spot.So you really think Jax and Vega are gonna go out as true freshman, Jax for half a season in a stacked class, and Vega rather then wait for Mendez to finish his career, are thinking of RSing for any other reason now lol highly doubtful

Come on man.How does one get something back that the never had?
Well you technically never have anyone until they actually enroll and go to a class. Since the national letter of intent was removed years ago nothing binds them to a university. All you can go by is a verbal commitment which they gave. How does one get something back that the never had?
So you're saying there's a chance!!!Well you technically never have anyone until they actually enroll and go to a class. Since the national letter of intent was removed years ago nothing binds them to a university. All you can go by is a verbal commitment which they gave
NahSo you're saying there's a chance!!!
In today's landscape, until they wrestle attached at OSU they don't necessarily "have" them either. Doesn't mean they won't, but they flipped last minute before. Their current path to starting at OSU looks a lot murkier than a year ago imo.How does one get something back that the never had?
I think the question for me is what happens if one can get in the lineup and one can’t?!In today's landscape, until they wrestle attached at OSU they don't necessarily "have" them either. Yeah, it gets really messy, really fast. I can't see either Jax, Vega, or Robideau redshirting next year and Swiderski will be a rSR so I doubt they send him packing to make space. That probably means that both Raney's take a standard redshirt next year. The year after that, I bet they try to get either Jax or Vega to take an Oly redshirt with the Raney's either starting at 133 and 149 or 141 and 149. The year after that is where things start to get sketchy. If you want to get Jax, Vega, Robideau, Jordyn, Jadyn all in the lineup at the same time, they've got to get Lockett to redshirt a year or bump up to 174. I have no idea if Robideau/Jordyn can successfully make the bump to 157 and 165 respectively.which brings us full circle to Kody Routledge jumping in the portal @cwobrien11

I will say this, if I am a 133-, 141-, 149-, or 157-pounder at Oklahoma St. not listed above and I actually want to wrestle, I'm probably getting in the portal this cycle or next. It's a good problem to have for Oklahoma State but it is still a problem that they're going to have to work through.
Conner is a freestyle first guy or I think he would be gone. He has really good partners in that pursuit where he is at, but I would want to wrestle. He is likely a top 5 guy at 197.Like the Mirasolas at PSU. Personally I don’t get sticking around and having one brother in and one brother out. If it was me then I would have a hard time staying in a situation like that. Everyone is different though.

Iowa has had a lot of brother combos, and some worked out great (Brands, Steiner's, Zalesky's, Banach's, etc.), and some not so much. Such is life. But they all wanted to be Hawks, so that's good.Like the Mirasolas at PSU. Personally I don’t get sticking around and having one brother in and one brother out. The Mirasola case is interesting because I think it’s agreed upon that the one not starting is the better of the 2.Like the Mirasolas at PSU. Just read on sporting news that Arkansas had a 30-year-old WR last year. Changing times…I'm quick to make sure everyone has the proper information. Agree with the Ono statement he's not old for D1 wrestling in these days. Hell Iowa St is trying to get 28 year old Ortega eligibility
How quickly would NCAA get sued if they set an age limit?Just read on sporting news that Arkansas had a 30-year-old WR last year. Changing times…
Well unless you are StarFish under krailure at LowLyingSwampValley. Then it is OK TWOOO get a 5th year because they need you to finger teamates ButtHoles and steal sheet till they find someone else!!!Everyone has their own motivations for sure. Obviously PSU has a great training environment for guys his size but there are only 4 chances in someone’s life to wrestle in the NCAA tournament and no matter if you are a freestyle guy or not, it’s a shame to miss out on those. If they are happy that is great.
My man Iron, PSU has you in a bad place mentally. Do you have other thoughts, or is your brain exclusively sponsored by Penn State wrestling?Well unless you are StarFish under krailure at LowLyingSwampValley. Then it is OK TWOOO get a 5th year because they need you to finger teamates ButtHoles and steal sheet till they find someone else!!!
I agree though and have argued this exact point about kids just wasting their time at F*** st. The line you always get is. "they are just happy to be here, happy to be on the team" etc..... BS!!! Now they play games with shirts, deferred enrollment, injuries etc.... STILL kids are giving away their TIME!!!!
and it is TIME that they can never get back!!!! Krailure is misleading them, paying them, and SCREWING them!!!! Guess we shall see what happens with them and the portal this year?
I see Mineo posting that Ryan Crookham is officially in the portal
He's a grad transferI didn't think it was even open yet. Maybe he is "planning" on entering the portal.
