$3M is not a massive thing to META and Alphabet, that’s laughable. I recognize that it’s just 1 person, and there is potentially millions out there, but this ruling will allow them to spin and do all kinds of stuff to limit potential future damage.

Agree, I thought $3 million was a slap in the face for the individual.

I agree but it opens the door for all the cases that are probably going to follow.

I hope they do, but I think it’s either gonna get capped or something. You can’t destroy Meta and Alphabet and hope to have a functioning stock market.

I posted the information because it's going to
Open doors up for other lawsuits. That was the trial Ballon and not just for those two. Other lawsuits are already in the works.

****!!!! but how do we fix the problems for the future and our kids?

You're right! We cant destroy the companies that became so big by clearly strategizing to get us addicted to their product, this is after the tobacco industry and us eating all the worst food in the world

our stock market does not encentivise productivity or effrectiveness in ways that it should and this is a huge problem

also social security etc....

This Is Fine GIF

Of the 3 problems you mentioned i think food is the scariest and biggest and right behind that is pharmaceutical then medical.

sure they are all terrible but the core issue remains that there are misaligned incentives in our economy, its the money printer, but currently creating a product that knowingly creates addictions like social media and food are profitable and no one is ever held accountable for any of this stuff anymore (tabacco companies bougth food companies after tobacoo rulings)
something has to change or it just gets worse... and it is!

You saying capitalism is the core issue? I maybe reading you wrong?
Social media is a choice same as tobacco. I blame parents more than meta or any other company. Food, pharma and medical is a need and they are completely *** raping us . Fda has dropped the ball big time and I find no excuse for it .

I will add regardless of people's opinion on the money printer the American dollar is backed by the American Taxpayer. Do we need to fix the system? Sure as I think we can all agree on that fact. Have Crony Capitalist shipping jobs overseas contributed to our problems. Definitely. But there's a damn good reason our enemies want to destroy the US Dollar. I would encourage people not to assist them because they are upset with ****. It's not like hitting the reset button on a play station controller and there's no utopia at the end of those results.

Socialism has never worked and Anarchy always follows. For those that think life isn't fair now. They are definitely going to hate full retard game mode.

No the money printer corrupts the capitalism from a system that encentivises providing solutions to people problems into one that incentivises getting govenrment contracts and handouts

the problem is that the markets are still trying to be controlled by the government ans they need to be more free
you cannot have a free market that has the ability to set prices when the money itself is not free, it corrupts the whole system from step 1 by making the unit of measure completely distorted

Gold standards would fix the problem?

If I owned or worked for a Social Media Company I would be nervous right now. Meta and Google could afford lawyers that when they get in the Ocean sharks swim to the shore and they couldn't stop this.

This happened in a court. Unfortunately it might take the Government to save them from this getting to the point they can't operate at all.

any true standard would
you can't give anyone or any group the power to create money out of thin air, that kind of power will corrupt it is inevitable
the fed thinking they can correctly set the interest rate is 100x more insane than the Soviet Union thinking they can predict the number of shoes that need to be produced next year
it comes back to the fact that central planning doesn't work and that is precisely what this is
