Why greater parity historically in MBB than WBB?

I don’t think it’s much more than a smaller pool of talent to choose from. And I mean no disrespect. Just saying that fewer women playing basketball (specifically AAU, club, etc.) than men = fewer top tier players (naturally) = more consolidation of talent among the top teams.

This is what I think as well.

Not something that can be fixed easily too, it would take time.

The top talent is concentrated among about 10 programs.

That's actually better than it was, say, 10 years ago when it was concentrated among about 5 programs.
