Not sure what that says more about - JDF as a player or the overall state of the program. Personally I don't think he's much of a loss.

Hot take. NIL has had the worst impact of all to the integrity of the sport in basketball. Basketball was already shady, now it's just garbage to watch and too many hands in the pockets.Sorry I’m one of those baseball “idiots” that thinks basketball should be a club sport.
He's not worth negotiating to keep. Here's our offer, take it or leave it. Minimal raise from FR to SO.I would imagine it is a negotiating tactic as much as anything.
Two options here. Not much of a loss? You really trust Janstastic and George Lazy Brooks to find somebody better than him in the portal?

Basketball was always like this, adding in NIL/portal turned it into a dumpster fire.Hot take. NIL has had the worst impact of all to the integrity of the sport in basketball. Basketball was already shady, now it's just garbage to watch and too many hands in the pockets.
Yeah. At least I’m somewhat aware of who Robbie Faulk is.Who?
I have heard first hand that basketball teams are now paid to win on top of their base salary. Signing a player keeps going up and if you do not pay them to win you get what we saw on our team this year. Dead beats.Basketball was always like this, adding in NIL/portal turned it into a dumpster fire.
The mindset of basketball players is usually very different than that of football and baseball players. Most football/baseball players are realistic about what their chances are to reach the next level, while every single basketball player thinks they are going to make the NBA. Years of playing AAU and listening to these coaches they have typically promote that. Most of these AAU kids come from middle class households with parents that hemmorage money for their kids basketball careers as opposed to the NBA greats in the 80s/90s/00s that came from nothing.
