Most exciting thing about today, imo. THAT WM is going to make it tough on weekend opponents. Paired with CG and we have plenty to win any game after the 5th inning.
looked like his FB had more zip tonight. Didn’t see any gun numbers but sure looked closer to 93-94 than the 91 he was at just a couple weeks ago. To be dominant he needs a plus fast ball. As nasty as his slider is, if that’s all hitters have to worry about, he just won’t be as dominant. The splitter/ change (whatever it was) was nice too.
I love every win, but it is especially sweet to beat little carolina to keep them in their place.
