Over or Under- 2 Innings Tonight

I'm pulling for the kid because we badly need someone amongst Billingsley, Foster, Sweeney and Bauer to step up for however long McPherson ends up being out.
With Billingsley, I feel like his trouble always starts with him being unable to locate his fastball, and then he starts tossing batting practice over the heart of the plate as soon as gets behind in the count. He's been better in his recent outings, and I think it was his last appearance when our defense kinda let him down, but we really need someone that can eat up 4-5 innings during these midweek contests.

Me too. I'm hoping we can get 3 good innings out of him tonight. I think we'll use at least 4 pitchers, probably 6 or so. Which is fine. Everyone will be available this weekend.
I would add Maddox Miller & Parker Rhodes to your list, these guys have high ceilings

Under. He can't stay in the strike zone. He'll walk a bunch, give up a couple of hits, and we'll surrender 3 runs or so before we pull him (probably in the 2nd).
Surprisingly, he doesn't really strike that many people out to have such "good" stuff.
Am I missing something - why isn't Rhodes pitching more?
I think we're gonna run a ton of arms out there tonight and probably throw a lot of position players who sat this weekend in as replacements, PH etc.

If history is an indication of the past then it's vehemently a NO. I'd just as soon give a guy like Bauer a chance versus Billingsley. Way more upside.

Let it go. That ship has sailed for this season. And very likely for good reason.

In case y'all haven't noticed, we've started a different guy in every midweek game. This is just continuing that trend.
Billingsley is about to show why he will be our Sunday starter next season. Possibly Saturday. Southern Miss is about to get that *** handed to them at DNF tonight.
I keep hoping this will be the game it clicks for him. Cause I think it will at some point and he'll be a good pitcher for us.
Maybe getting the start will help. You know exactly what's coming and can prep for it.

Have you considered not watching tonight? If he's been awful in the innings you've seen him pitch he could be ELITE if you didn't watch. Something to think about****
Great point. I have seen his stuff look incredibly nasty at times. This is the night it all comes together.

Well, I guess I went 1 for 2. Billingsly looked good. Oops, my bad. But Rhodes looks straight filthy. Gotta see more of him.
