I both want an explanation from Pope and for him to stop talking at the same time.
As I've said before, it took me 10 years to get sick of Cal talking. It took me 1 year to get sick of Pope talking. He is selling himself like he is interviewing for a job. He will crack next year under the pressure. When a coach starts defending himself to this length, it's on the way to being over.
Well not only that, he talks about gains they have made the past 2 years compared to Cals last 4 years. And talking about beating Cal and Pitino this year like we got a reward for that. Complete loser talk.
You can critique Pope or whatever, but please don’t become unwitting Arkansas surrogates.
What the program has produced over the last 6 years is unacceptable. No “but at least we could bank on a miracle run with the talent we had,” or “at least we could look forward to Wagner at PG next year. He’s the dawg the team sorely needs!” Talk. That was all cope for teams that continuously underperformed.

Cal had a long track record of success. Pope has accomplished literally nothing in his entire career.
Very few people are going to cut him the same slack they gave Cal.
