Friday will be a real climb against Elliot. Especially without McPherson (can’t imagine he throws regardless of the mri). Hopefully their second starter is still out

Screw ole miss and their baseball field that is owned by the city of Oxford. They are so envious of us, our crowds, our tradition and our baseball park.
The do good for what they do, but, their left field Bleachers have a BIG DITCH in front of it.

In case yall haven’t noticed, our pitching after McPherson and Tico can be inconsistent. Without McPherson, things change ALOT. I’ve seen that they expect him to be out from 3-6 weeks. We better hope it is closer to 3 than 6 If that rumor is true.
Almost sounds like, McPherson might be ready for Regional play IF we need him. If his soreness is a TJ thang, then sometimes you wonder why not just go ahead and have the surgery and get it over with....get ready for next year. If we depend on him toward the back end of this season, then TJ probably won't go away and will bite us hard when we depend on him the most.
If he’s cleared to pitch he’s got to pitch. I hope it’s not a situation where he sits for a month, is cleared to pitch, & then really injures it. But if that’s the case sitting him out the rest of the year probably only prolongs the injury until next March.
This. I wasn’t a huge Lemonis fan but but we lost two starters before SEC play. Huge factor in why we sucked that year.

If State is as hyped, 3 wins should happen.

We sweep easily. We are playing at a "middle of the road" SEC stadium with a "middle of the road" SEC atmosphere. We would have to beat ourselves if we drop one, which won't happen.
The only result that would surprise me would be if we got swept. Could see us losing 2, winning 2, or sweeping them ourselves.
We are the better team, but they do have pitching depth and hit a lot of homers. If we walk guys and allow them to stack 2 and 3 run dingers, we’re gonna have a hard time.
That said, throw strikes and keep the ball in the ballpark, and I’m not sure they can score without the long ball.

So, OM lost to the 7 and 16 Tigers tonight. They must have been preoccupied with us.
Not sure if you've noticed, but Ole Miss is pretty darn good this year. And it's at their place. Expecting a sweep for an away series, without our Friday night starter is ludicrous. Then to try to say "if State is as hyped" to couch it is equally as pathetic.
You seem new at following college baseball, so I'll help you out here. Hope/Expect to win 1 in an SEC road series. If you do, you've held serve. If you win more than one, it's gravy and it's been an exceptional weekend.
