And there is nothing we can do about it. Most everyone can see what is around the corner with Pope. 12+ loses, 4-6th place in SEC, playing on Wed in the SECT, and a likely one and done (if we make the NCAA) to end the year.

Next year will not be better.

Don't worry. Sources close to the program spoke with Mark Pope this morning, and he's got a new recruiting gimmick he's going to try. He'll be going by Captain Squint now and doning a pirate outfit for all the Zoom recruiting calls.

The writing was on the wall last year. Even though UK had many good wins, and a sweet 16 run, they also had 8 double digit losses.
Injuries and roster construction were also problems last year, I agree the strength of the SEC covered up a lot of the cracks that were quickly showing. The general happiness of liking the team, getting rid of Cal, the newness of the staff, the fun style, and the big wins helped a ton. Under it all though you could see all the flaws that led to this year.

I’m going to need it explained how we finish 4-6th place in the SEC but play on Wednesday…lol though go off you’re probably not wrong in general.

Mark Pope has 14 losses by double digits n 2 seasons. As I mentioned on other threads, pretty sure cal lost his 13th by double digits new end of 2016 season with Murray and ulis team.

That's a glaring difference as that was end of year 7.

I can’t believe there are fans that think this is okay and have accepted that Pope will get it done, using UNC and Kansas as examples that times have changed for the blue bloods. I’m not okay with this
