Do you anticipate any changes on the coaching staff for next year ? New or different assistants ?

No. I think Pope rides out his last season with his buddies while enjoying that massive salary.
Seems like that’s exactly what is going to happen. I’m losing respect for this guy every minute he hasn’t resigned. He’s as honorable as Mitch Barnhart. His old ā€œgood Christian manā€ routine is all an act.

Would really like to know what’s going on currently with recruiting. Have a pretty good feeling it’s a combination of JMI and Popes inability to close. I know Alvin Brooks can recruit. Not sure on Hart. And we probably need an upgrade on Fox helping Pope with game prep.

Hard to be optimistic that right now that there will be any major changes or upgrades. Keep hoping I'm wrong. Getting tired of hoping.

Other than Fox I could see most of them trying to find new jobs. They will never get a head coaching job being an assistant to Pope. Most schools want assistants from schools that win at an elite level.

Brother, trust me. Pope isn’t gonna have to get rid of any of his staff. They are gonna do it for him. These assistants aren’t dumb and they know a sinking ship. You are gonna see these rats jumping as soon as they can. No one wants to be attached to Pope right now. Career suicide.

Kentucky scheme comes to an end :

- give contracts to incompetent coaches and administration saying that money is from Athletics dept budget or private donors.

- they spent money like there is no tomorrow on private jets and bonuses and retirement gigs or made up positions after retirement…

- sign NIl managing contracts where there is conflict of interest and for unreasonable period of time which smells of corruption.

- spent money on capital projects unnecessary based the consultancy of the same AD that last year put the athletics department in deficit both on ordinary expense ( salary, and regular expenses) and capital projects to the point that Athletic department needs to barrow money from the university fund , which comes from tuition and Commonwealth appreciation ..

the same incompetence was shown by the president and AD handling the Relationship over the years with HOF coach John Calipari., who finally left without costing the university a penny…..they didnt appreciate in their corrupt arrogance the gift given to the university and BBN by Calipari and hired who they hired….

this Is the same university that mistreated Rupp……I guess it’s expected to mistreat John Calipari and the whole fan base with incredible expensive tickets and horrible decisions year after year To the point that BBN is not even showing up to the games

If I have the name right Keegan Brown is reported to be coming in to some type of role, maybe even GM? Supposedly he helped put the team together Pope's 1st year & he worked for Pope at BYU. He's currently some type of G-league scout for the Milwaukee Bucks. The article i read said that he's really good at identifying players that fit perfectly in the offense Pope runs.
