Ha- but we all did. His record was awful.

I doubted him too but I don't owe anybody anything.

I became a UCONN fan in 89-90 when I was in grad school there. But of course I've always wanted more for NU BB than the results usually showed. I figured Fred would get canned when his product was woeful, but I also thought that would be a dumb decision. The dude has proven good coaching, so I figured NU would eventually level up, be competitive within the league, and start making occasional tourney appearances. I think PBA and the fanbase have been really important. Fred has had success in the portal the past two years, and this year's success should make it easier for him to get the kind of portal players he wants.
