It might have been magic to have Schaffner's foul tip fall out of the catcher's mitt.
Huge moment....inning was literally over and he bobbled and dropped it.

Will never know what happens in the 9th (England had to get 3 outs and hadn't thrown b2b days all year), but it's amazing how that moment there led to a chain of events that significantly changed the tone of this board for the next 5 days.
I think what aggravates me the most is that Carolina does not get the national attention it deserves. This team is gritty and a really good team.
Grace - are you saying you bobble/ drop the ball/ fumble things regularly?!?
BTW - didn't we also drop a barely fouled off third strike earlier in the game as well?

Reflecting back on the series, there were a lot of positives to take away. A little luck played into the series win, but the Heels capitalized on their chance and seized it. Also, keeping Louisville's base-stealers at bay is the work of a good team defense. Pitching was mostly very good. Folger ran into trouble, but CG did a great job keeping us in it. Good series win against a dangerous team.
