Q and Lowe playing this year makes a huge difference. We didn't have a point guard or shot blocker. We lost both to injuries. The reason we lost today is because of turnovers. We had no one to handle the ball. And inside we couldn't protect the rim.
If you listened to postgame, then you would have heard that Goose speak some hard truths. One, he said he knew for a fact the money that was there for this team won’t be there next year. That statement coming from a guy far more in the know than any keyboard commandos, is both damning and concerning. Secondly, he said some guys need to leave and Pope needs to get some big time players in here. Listening to Jack, it seemed he was frustrated with this team and believes a significant talent upgrade is needed.

its a lot of ifs and buts, I'm sure someone will break it down but I dont think UK was setting the world on fire when Lowe and JQ played, and if you say , well yea, but they were injured most of the year, then its all conjecture about what they could have contributed today.
The reality is that Iowa St was down their best player, and Kentucky played the game they've played all year long.
They have the talent and depth to beat the Iowa St they faced today, and they did not. JQ and Lowe were not in the game plan, its not like they just got injured 2 days ago, the team has been playing for weeks without them. You might as well say if we had landed Caleb Wilson we would have won today.
Either you step up and coach a team meaningfully or you do not. UK just lost by 19 points to a team without its best player and most significant contributor. That is unacceptable. There are zero excuses for it.

Well I was a roommate with two of them and have a game group text with three of them and they all say Pope should quit and he is in over his head. They also say the only thing he has won is his press conference. I also worked with Josh Carrier (jokes not needed) and Ravi Moss and they think he isn’t cut out for the job. They don’t criticize, just that he can’t get it done here.
Pitino is not coming back to Kentucky. He’s too old and his wife isn’t coming back from NY.

Ok dumbass with the name calling. Kam wan't recruited to have a huge roll. JQ was signed after having an ACL tear in January or February last year. It takes big guys like him longer, so he should have known that was a risky signing. No PG, the coach constructed the roster with NO viable backup PG, that on him. Jack is one of my all time favorite UK players. I love listening to him on the radio. But he IS a company man. If not, UK athletics and JMI would not keep him. Thats how they work.
