Call him. Even in defeat the other coaches respect him. We wouldnt be a loser program. Get him on the phone now. Get any of the 5/6 coaches mentioned on here on the phone asap.

its all about outlook, we are trending down and fast with pope. Zero recruits, most of the team is leaving, we looked awful this year. If we had a good class coming in next year and did well in the portal it would be completely different.

The objective if you're gonna get rid of pope is to get a guy that's a winner. That's what they should've done when cal left you don't want another dart throw

No we went after only 2 coaches and then went for Pope. There were a lot of other choices that we never even tried to get. An up and comer can’t do this job, it will never work.

Jai winning a tourney game at 37 makes him a high potential prospect for sure. Would like to see sustained success in recruiting and on the floor with a final four (or at the very least a tight elite 8 loss) before serious consideration at UK. Definitely one to keep on the radar IMO.
Certainly a risk. I would still rather get a "made" guy for the next immediate hire, then a guy like Jai after he's become a powerhouse in his late 40s.
