Is it possible Pope could play a pat hand next year…

Extremely unlikely, but hey—we don’t have any recruits, and now we’re hearing the money isn’t gonna be there…

We are losing the three biggest payroll guys, so he might try to get everyone else back for the same money. Big net gain for the “organization” on money spent…

Another thing—where are these guys gonna transfer to?? Who’s gonna be beating down the door for these guys? Every player we have has a significant weakness in his game that doesn’t command bigger money from another school…

Thoughts??

I think we might be looking at something like that with 2-3 players from small conferences and probably not first team all-conference guys.

I think he invites everyone back and it will all be up to the players if they want to come back or not.

Probably correct. I doubt HE will cut anyone…some may cut themselves. Lol

we won’t have most of those guys. If pope is here next season he will be fired mid season.

I doubt most of those guys will want to run it back with Pope unless they are looking for some overpayment.

The only guys that return under Pope are guys that will get the most money at UK.

If they are looking to improve their game they are going elsewhere

Perry took less money to get away from his dream school.

Might get that team to .500, bottom of SEC. Now, that plus Stokes, Miikka Muurinen and Milan Momcilovic could win a National Championship. With a better coach. So it's doable, especially with our budget. Just go get those three kids and let's eat

Have to wonder if some of the 22 million was for a two year commitment and not a single season.

Yeah let’s bring back the same team minus the best scoring option and hope for better results. SMH

Pope already said today that retention is gonna be a massive, massive part of next years team. We have good young players.
