With a buncha other teams at 4-2, if big late leads for Texas and A&M hold.

League looks to be really good and really balanced with a few exceptions.
I see Carolina shook off the loss of their former coach, and dumped UPig today. ....Maybe they celebrated.

I mean Frei had two hits today and hit a lot of balls hard on the weekend.

But I get it. Since we had a pretty settled lineup this weekend it became glaring how much talent never hit the field. Wyers, Valincius, James, Raymond, Nunnalee, Bevis, Butthead etc...

Frei is hitting .125 in 6 sec games. .388 ops. 7 Ks. We can give Wyers some swings. Frei did not have a hit until today

We should have won more games in Fayetteville.
Yeah, I think pretty much all State fans feel that way. Especially the Friday night game when we outplayed them in every possible way except the scoreboard.

That said, if you’d have offered me a 4-2 record against Ark and Vandy before we played, I probably would’ve taken it. We’ve got a very good team, but far from perfect, and I like where we’re sitting right now.

Just please give us some positive news about McPherson tomorrow

2 things stood out to me this weekend. We seem to have a real catcher (admit I haven't looked at his defensive stats yet).....and losing McPherson in game one. Sure could use him next week in Oxford, but doubt he'll be there.

One thing I'll say for Frei. I was worried about his defense, but he looks comfortable and competent at 2B. That's a pleasant surprise.

And Milewski looks to be every bit of what I was hoping he was. I kept asking where he was for a reason. He looked healthy this weekend and he seems like a positive force for those pitchers behind the plate. Picking them up and patting them on the back.

Milewsli has been injured, is the party line. With him in Fayetteville, we win that series. He's back, taking names, we look solid at 4-2 in the best league in America. BOC is the man. I mean like for real.

I don't think it's a big stretch to say that with a healthy Milewski all year we could be 22-2 and a solid #1 in all the major polls.

Not that it matters if we take care of business going forward.

I think at full strength we’re a Top 2 team in the league, maybe slightly behind Texas but pretty dang close.

If the McPherson injury is significant, I worry that definitely lowers our ceiling. We’ll still be a very good team without him. Valincius would be just fine on Friday, and I think Stone is better than he showed today. We’d probably have to become a Sunday Funday team but with our offense I feel like we’d be up to the task most weekends. But I’m not sure we can win the whole thing without McPherson. Hopefully we get good news in the next couple of days. I can even live with him being out a few weeks, we just need him ready to go in May and June.

Big series in Oxford next weekend. That team cannot score without hitting the ball over the fence. Limit free passes and keep the ball in the ballpark, and we’ll have a great chance to win at least two. Playing on the road is tough, so we could absolutely go up there and lose the series. And honestly even that wouldn’t be a killer or anything. But yeah, screw OM, go win three games.

Milewski is our catcher when he’s healthy. End of story.
