I'm sure some in here aren't aware of this yet.

Both Circle-K convenience stores & Spinx gas stations in SC have been selling Federally-Legal THC-infused drinks with 10 Milligrams of THC in cans to anyone age 21 & up. The former recently, the latter months ago.

Have you guys tried any of these yet? What did you think of them? Pass on your honest opinions! I will hold back on my own personal opinion for now as I don't want to add my own bias about them either way.

This week, the SC State Senate voted to approve THC drinks being sold at those places, but with ONLY 5 Milligrams of THC per can, instead of the national standard of 10 Mg. per can. Not only that, but they will have to be sold from behind a store counter where you can't even look at the cans? That doesn't make sense when many craft beer makers are trying to brew beers with the highest percentage of alcohol by volume as possible.

But that's not the worst part...

If you don't want to drink any of those 5 Mg. "THC Light" drinks (much lower demand for those can be expected) you will have to go into an ABC LIQUOR STORE to buy those OR to buy THC gummies if you want those.

WHAT?

Cannabis is a very effective and SAFE medicine for many different diseases! It can also help save the lives of patients with "Terminal" Stage 4 Cancer that doctors have given up on saying there's "nothing else we can do".

It also helps many people to quit their problem drinking or taking way too many synthetic pharmaceutical drugs that were prescribed for them by their doctors. But imagine if you've quit drinking and want to stay away from booze to prevent a relapse. This compromise proposal by the SC Senate would FORCE former alcoholics to go into a SC liquor store in order to buy safer cannabis drinks or even just to buy some THC gummies?

Why would they do this? They want to put an age gate on purchasing THC products to prevent those under 21 from buying any of them because they are now Federally legal and there is no SC law against them (yet).

Normally, a state first tries to help patients with serious diseases by allowing them access to cannabis, which is the world's most therapeutic PLANT! Don't buy the bogus propaganda & horror stories prohibitionists tell!

40 States have now approved of medical cannabis for patients that need it. 24 states have legalized it for adults 21+ and have raised over $25 BILLION in windfall cannabis taxes to help their public schools and roads.

SC urgently needs to pass a modern medical cannabis bill for SC patients! Few know this, but USC students (myself included) in the USC Chapter of NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) lobbied successfully for a medical cannabis bill in the late 1970s! In 1980, SC became the only the THIRD state to pass a medical marijuana bill and it was signed into law by Democratic SC Governor Richard W. Riley.

But the problem with that legislation was the cannabis supply was to come from the Federal Marijuana Farm located at the University of Mississippi instead of our own cannabis supply grown here in our state. When the Feds became concerned there would be too much demand for the Federal weed, they SHUT DOWN that Federal Farm. That meant NOT ONE patient in SC was ever helped by that legislation! That old law is STILL ON THE BOOKS Now and it could still be overhauled and modernized instead of trying to pass a new bill when the head of SLED, the corrupt Mark Keel, does everything he can to block passage of any new cannabis laws!

OK, getting back to THC drinks in a can... Did you feel ANYTHING after trying a 10 Milligram can of THC seltzer? If not, how many cans did it take for you to feel anything? Someone I know said he drank 3 cans with 10 Mg. each and he didn't feel anything at all! He said he's NEVER buy any 5 Mg. cans EVER! And he won't drink any 10 Mg. cans unless somebody gives him one. Is this a common perception or not? Please let me know!

If you haven't tried any THC drinks yet, GO FOR IT! But, you better hurry up if you want to try a standard 10 Mg. can as they might not be available anywhere except inside a liquor store if this bill ever became a SC law. One Circle-K store manager told me (after I asked where their THC drinks were) that some guy came in and bought every can they had! It's very doubtful that will be the case for most of the other Circle-K stores in SC.

Don't worry, drinking 1 can (or a 4-pack) will NOT turn you into a weed addict! lol Actually, cannabis is NOT physically addicting like booze, pills or cigarettes! But it can be psychologically addictive (you like it too much).

Here's the pricing I saw at a Spinx gas station where 2 rows of THC drinks are on display. (Look for them by green tape displayed on the glass door where they are.) Prices start at 2 for $10. But, some were 2 for $12.

Please let me know what you think of these THC drinks in SC!

Thanks in advance if you will be doing "research" for me! lol

I think folks should have to show a pay stub showing they worked a whole week before they sell it to you. If you work 50 or 60 hours a week you would care less about approving a thc drink.

I can go to a nearby mall here in the low country and buy pot all day long if I wanted to. I'm talking about in an actual store inside the mall. So can anyone else. It is no more expensive than buying it on the street. Don't ask me how I know. Not sure I'm quite on board with medicare or medicaid jumping in on the bandwagon though.
