You would be an absolute fool to put ANYONE above him when in the next hiring process.

Took an absolutely AWFUL Miami team and took them to the tournament and nearly knocked off Purdue to make the sweet 16. That's in one year ... at Miami.

Give him these resources and the UK brand and he would kill it.

By the time Pope's contract is buyable, Lucas will have been hired at an elite program that isn't UK, I'm afraid.

Golden hadn't really done anything before he got hired. It's a gamble, but you can find the "next" guy if your admin is capable and does their homework. Obviously our admin is trash.

Jfc that must be Mitch’s burner account.

The next hire can be anything other than a sure thing homerun hire. That means NO young coaches that MIGHT be good. Lucas shouldn’t even be interviewed.

So who do you get? Who is a proven elite coach that we actually would be able to hire? You saw what some elite coaches did last hiring cycle ... thanks but no thanks.

Lmao all the proven coaches are building a dynasty at the school they’re at. Fans are delusional thinking we’re just gonna get a cal 2.0 firing pope means hiring someone like jai if he’d even want to come here after firing a coach after 2 years.
