If so, go ahead and put your money where your mouth is. This guy sucks and we would be so much better off cutting the line now instead suffering again next season. Which by the way, will be a whole lot worse than this one.

99 percent of BBN I hope is ready for a change.

Probably just people that love to be contrarians. Nobody can say this season wasn’t terrible.

Nope. I'm hoping Pope answers for this mess, announces changes to his staff and says something concrete about his plans for season 3. I got trashed for this last season, but Pope for all his 'analytics', never seems to be able to prepare his guys for a game and never adjusts to the most obvious things that the opponent is doing.

I’m not a pumper, and no longer believe Pope is our guy. I wanted him to succeed so badly and last year gave me hope. This year gave me relentless doubt.

That said, he’s getting a third year and I won’t be bitching about it incessantly for the next 13 months because I can’t control what the administration decides to do.

I don’t write checks. I don’t buy tickets. I watch games on TV.

You couldn’t be more wrong. Pope is the right hire. He knows better than any of the other options what UK tradition means.

I too wanted Pope to succeed but he was lucky to win several games over the last 2 years & was directly responsible for multiple loses both years .
Time for a change before we end up in another Stoops situation 💔💣⌛️

Who’s gonna fire him? He’ll probably be here for one more year, and as good as a man he is, it’s time for a change unless he kills it next year.

Understanding tradition and knowing how to keep and protect it are two different things…….He can not fulfill the assignment he is done knows it but is delusional about his own abilities and the coaching staff

Dude, you’ll be majorly pissed if he’s not the coach next season! We get it, stop with the gaslighting 🤣

Not at all.

I never liked the hire, but I bought in and hoped it would work. I support my coach during the season no matter what. The season is now over.

I would be ecstatic if we could legitimately hire for next season one of the big fish (Golden, Oats, Hurley, Pearl) that get talked about here constantly to an embarrassing extent.

But back over here in reality, our AD is exiting in June and he’s not firing the basketball coach he just hired on the way out the door because fans are mad. That would leave his successor in a huge lurch AND it would mean Mitch will have to admit failure in the hire of yet another men’s basketball coach.

Removing emotions, the more realistic scenario is if Pope has an equivalent or worse season next year, he’s relived of his duties by the new AD and we begin another national coaching search in March-April 2027.

My position isn’t I want Pope to return, but I’m 99% certain he will.

You tried to shout down any fan that had an opposing opinion this season. Time for you to zip it and quit pretending you’re a superior fan.
