……had 3 losing seasons, a 500 year and now two winning seasons.

We would have fired him after year 3.

Bbbbbbut history!! They never won a tourney game until this weekend. According to our fan logic he should have been given a lifelong pass

It’s about recognizing coaching talent. Jans is a good coach. Hope we give him plenty of time.

If we would have fired The Mayor after three years, we should have cut all athletics and focus solely on the school stellar academics, moving forward.

I don't think Hoiberg would have been fired at MSU after those three years, to be clear.

Full disclosure, I haven’t watched a lick of NBA since Ewing vs Olajuwon. When you say the mayor, I think of Jake Mangum

Hoiberg played in the NBA in the 90s and 00s.
And he has been a longtime coach who led Iowa State to success for a number of years before moving to the NBA.

Do you really not know of him from his college years, nba years, college coaching years, or nba coaching years? Even if you haven't watched the NBA since the early 90s, he has been a well known name in the basketball world.

If you hadn't heard of him, I can understand why you said he would be fired at MSU after a few years. He probably just seems like a random guy. He is well established and a successful coach and program leader.

He doesn’t have a clue. There’s your answer.
