Both grew up and learned to lead and wrestle in New Jersey.
They are at schools with the highest academic admission standards and don’t have a pile of money. Just a few years ago the Stanford program was on the verge of being cancelled.
Plus their top assistant coaches are Jersey guys who were All Americans and one already in the Jersey Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
