Riley Welch who I believe was a walk on for Cal and then a grad assistant is now an assistant coach for Lucas. CJ Fredrick is a grad assistant at Miami,
Jai was heavily recruited with PPat. He then made his way here as an assistant before Duke stole him away.
Duke has their boy Scheyer, so I say get Lucas. He's a dynamite recruiter and has proven his ability to turn programs around. If they wait, he'll be dominating somewhere like UNC or Kansas. Can't beat em, join em.

Apparently one reason he decided to leave was he felt handcuffed as a recruiter... Not sure if that was from Cal, Mitch or a combo.
Hmmmmm that’s right! Very interesting, isn’t it?! Makes you wonder if it’s still that way. Sure seems like it. Cal’s recruiting took an absolute nosedive the last 6 or so years.

Little story on him. While attending games of high profile recruits I used to sit with parents and guardians a lot. PP camp told me that Lucas got on PP nerves big time and there friendship was way overrated whatever school Lucas chose between Florida and Kentucky PP was going to the opposite school. That they were not a package deal like the media and "experts" were saying.

I watched Lucas several times in HS and thought he had reached his ceiling and was way overrated. Even came to rafters telling everyone how I didnt like him at all and I expected them to attend different schools. Had no clue who Lucas was gonna pick though. Glad he picked Florida and I think he lasted maybe a year there.
