Yeah but they are still pretty well outside the top teams in spending/NIL I believe. Cignetti has a great eye for talent and does a great job maximizing it with his staff.
Oklahoma State is trending to #1. Taylor is doing an outstanding job recruiting and coaching.
Mostly good recruiting. I watched all the star freshman this year when they were in high school last year and do freestyle last spring/summer. They don’t look that much different other than a year older and a little more physically mature. Taylor, Carl , Robie are good to very good coaches, but their best quality by far is their ability to recruit lots of top talent.
Okie St and PSU are going to have some epic Championship battles in the future. Virginia Tech is a team on the rise. Nebraska, tOSU, and Iowa will be battling for 3-6th with Tech.
Fact. It is going to be a 2 horse race for the next several years at the least, but hey "we like our guys"

Gee, they just had a freshman in the 197 final, their current heavyweight finished 4th and have the top heavyweight recruit coming in.
But what about 165 174 184 197 if psu can compete at all the other weights and has 4 hammers you can't beat from 65 to 97 then what. I think dt is building something but he isnt close to what cael has built and that is hammers at most weights

Interesting statement. Wyatt won heavyweight last year. Dreshawn Ross coming in next year and will probably be a title contender year 1. Merrill improved a ton throughout the year and made the finals as a freshman too.
They don’t have the depth PSU has yet but I think that’s changing pretty quick given how their recruiting has gone. I think the team race will be a lot more interesting next year.
Seems more like he would fit in on the IAST staff with the other two bitter hawks who did quite well under TnT
Said for many years that Spencer Lee bought TnT time and Bo was going to do the same...and then he bounced. Without Spencer...one guy...TnT would already be out.
Ryder and Fucundo will be replaced by better options ASAP. Dee will be a mainstay despite his poor tournament. I bet he ends up at 174 eventually if not next year. The storm is brewing. 2028 will be when the rubber meets the road with a true team race imo.
DT has his guys wrestling loose in big matches. That is coaching and philosophy. The only way that happens if if he believes it and understands it and exudes it. They get after it and that will continue to bring in the big names. They will continue to wrestle loos and that the best of their ability and the cycle will continue.
Guys want to reach their potential. They are going to believe that will happen under DT, because they are seeing it happen now. A true freshman beating Mendez tells every recruit, " I can be the best version of myself, if I go to OSU and wrestle under DT"
Have you seen Penn State’s wrestling complex?
it is relatively speaking brand new and top of the game. Ohio State’s new facility may be better, but PSU is by no means not in the top 5.
