RIP Mr. Norris:RIP Chuck. He lived a great long life and it's not too often that someone gets a series of jokes named for him that continue to grow for many years.
wow. another. They're coming in waves now. R.I.P.
Being 67 now you not only look at the names but also the dates and start to do the personal "what if?" calculations. Enjoy your short time on this planet.
Depends on one's goals. There is life span, which is one thing. And health span, which is living as the healthiest and best version of yourself until the end of your life. Exercise and diet play a key role in health span, however, there are some who are genetically gifted and do not exercise or eat a healthy diet, yet still live long and healthy lives. Dick Van Dyke is a good example of a person with an excellent health span. For those that live well into their 90s and past 100, it is probably a combination of factors.Last I checked, Social Security said 85 was average age of death in US. Offhand I don't know if working out with Total Gym and a dozen supplements makes a difference.

One of his best movies.Lone Wolf McQuade was my favorite of his. A time when movies could just be fun without trying to preach a lesson. RIP Chuck.
Had a friend and work colleague pass away just before the pandemic at 54. While I knew he had experience several health issues and 3 different forms of cancer, the issue that ultimately ended his life was completely unrelated. His father had passed in his late 50s/early 60s too. Most of the men on my father's side of the family died around 70, mostly due to poor diet and weight issues. Hope to break that cycle. Beat cancer once, and a lucky fall from a second story will working as a volunteer firefighter. I've used up 2 lives, and the cancer scare caused me to reevaluate how to live the rest of my life. There are obviously no guarantees . I think living a healthy lifestyle can help , keeping your weight down can help with less stress on joints, bone structure, along with cardiovascular health. There was some recent study which suggested that genetics may play a larger role than previously thought, maybe as high as 30-35% regarding mortality. Back in Jan I attended a memorial service for an old HS/RU buddy who passed away at 67. While there, I spoke to several college buddies who I haven’t seen recently and became aware of 3 other college friends who died between ages 63-67. When your friends start going , It really heightens the awareness of life passing quickly by.
