UNC fans and Hubert

Some random quotes sifting through UNC talk:
- "I was a supporter but this is the nail in the coffin. I'm out. We need someone else."
- "Yep. This was the nail in the coffin for me. Unforgivable."
- "He is simply not a strong enough coach to be the head of a Blue Blood program. Time for him to pack it up."

Remember -- the guy is "family" for them and went to a Final Four his first year (and ruined K's retirement). Their fans are done w/ him, and not one person I saw was using the Wilson injury as an excuse.

This is pretty much us in a few years if Pope keeps getting phantom extensions for Sweet 16s and other meaningless garbage.

So why wait for the inevitable, when we can see this coming?

PS -- this same guy beat Pope. At Rupp.

The same? You think Popes getting a team to the FF? He’d have to buy them all a ticket. 😂

UNC, Duke, BYU, UL, Arky, Vandy...all examples of, injuries mattering. I'm sure there are others as well. Seems like one more at least...Hmmm.
As for Hubert, he made his bed before last night but that probably was the last straw for him...injury or not.
Oh, and if McNamarra had a lick of sense about him at all, they beat Duke last night.

Caleb Wilson would buy them a ticket to the sweet 16 at best. Unc made the mistake of building their entire team around him. They got a 4 star PG that can’t sniff the court. Duke lost two starters and still won their tournament. Of course they struggled against sienna, but thats more of them not taking sienna seriously at all. Doubt they’re better than Virginia.

UNC beat Duke earlier in the year. I think both teams were healthy at the time but not positive. Duke struggled with unranked fsu and clemson in their tourney too.

One thing I noticed about their fans having breakdowns right now is that every fanbase has a portion that, no matter what coach is named, someone will say, "He won't leave that job for this one".

And then they leave and it’s forgotten and those same fans do it all over again. If I had a dollar for every Kentucky fan that said “Cal won’t come” I’d be so damn wealthy. It’s insane. For some reason college basketball is the only profession in the world where people don’t want better jobs and fame. They’d rather stay at crappy jobs and be unrecognized because “it’s easy”. I don’t know why people do this but it will never change.
