125: If Peterson cannot get past Lilledahl, then he will have to beat Bouzakis to be annal-American.

133: If all goes chalk tomorrow, Drake will have to beat Byrd to place top 6.

141: Nasir sitting best to wrestle to his seed. If all goes to chalk, he will have Vombaur for 7th but winnable match to go top 6.

149: Block is going to have to beat #7 Stiles to make the round of 12. If he wins that then has probably Lamer for AA.

174: if Pk loses to Katchrla, then he will have #2 seed Ruiz in blood round. Then either #6 Singleton or Michigan’s Montanans to go top 6.

184: if Angelo loses to Sinclair, he will most likely have the #4 seed Conway in blood round. Then will have the 3,6 or 9 seed for top 6.

197: If Gabe wins his first match tomorrow morning, he will likely have AA Berge and then Cotton from Rutgers.

275: Kueter is set pretty good, will have Amos or Hope in blood round and then #21 Mora for top 6.

Terrible luck for Peterson, Kennedy and Ferrari (although Ferrari could just win it all).

Kennedy needs to beat Karchla!

Does Peterson really want to be an anal american?

I don't think Ferrari gets past Sinclair atm but the backside match vs Conway doesn't really concern me much. That should be an easy win for Ferrari imo

I was looking at brackets and 133 is a great example of one of my frustrations with the seeding process. The bottom half of the quarter final is ALL wrestlers from the B1G. None in the top half. I realize there isn’t a good or fair way to separate these conference wrestlers after two rounds of competition, but it’s frustrating nonetheless. I’d take any of these B1G wrestlers over all the top half except Jax. This is one of the downfalls with being in the toughest conference; more losses against tougher competition equals lower seeds at nationals (and sometimes unlucky seeds). The losers will get the chance to prove me right on the backside.

Imo all you wouldneed to do for seeding criteria is remove the coaches ranking. Only a certain number of coaches seed certain weights. Some take it seriously some don't. Then some play that coaches game I'll seed your wrestler here and you seed mine here.

A good example is 133 take away Jax coaches ranking and now he's on bottom with Davino up top.

I’m not sure most of you have seen Seidel from VT wrestle if you are confident that those other guys would beat him. I’m hoping to see the rematch between him and Jax. I know that with one move Jax could finish it but if it goes seven minutes it could be interesting. I know that Seidel seems to have no fear of Jax.

The SEEDING process CAN be and NEEDS to be revised!!! One area I coached in had a complete formular to eliminate a lot of the BS and BIAS. I believe in this day and age with ALL the technology, it would be pretty easy to put something together that makes sense and tweak it each year if you find some flaws.

One thing right off the bat would be EVERYONE starts the year at ZERO points. This way returning TOP wrestlers can NOT "protect" their seed by DUCKING!!! Kids would EARN points for WINS, MORE points for "quality" wins, obviously wining B1Gs would earn someone a Gr8 deal of points etc....

Could add points for BONUS victories, techs, pins similar to how it is done in the tournament. This way ALL seeds are EARNED during the SEASON!!! You DUCK, you get sick/hurt etc... and do not wrestle. It will cost you. Easy schedules will also NOT benefit some like it seems to do now.

In the B1Gs for example, you take 133. The champion going thru that MEAT GRINDER, more then likely EARNS the #1 seed. JAX very well could be the #1 guy??? BUTTs, there is NO reason to just "hand' him that 1 seed based on what he did!

Based on the quarters outcome you are correct.
