None of our injuries equate to Saunders.
Correct. Our injuries are much more severe. I’m assuming y’all didn’t care to look at Evan Miya’s chart that shows no one has performed even close to the level we have at our severity level with injuries. But it didn’t fit the narrative so it won’t be bothered with.

If $22 million earned a 14 loss season, I'm not sure that spending less is the way to go either.

Pope needs to get players who fit his system. Lowe is not a Pope system guy. Neither is Jasper, Mo D, Garrison, etc.

As for the AJ/BYU argument, AJ was really the only great player on the court for either team. He was worth the money. They just didn't have much of a team around him once Saunders went down.

I think spending 7 million for a freshman is dumb personally

We lost our starting point guard. Heck, he was our only pg. 😂
Jeez, JQ was a lottery pick, he was probably going to end up being our BEST player.
But also, I heard on here that Oweh sucks, so now that we're trying to make excuses for BYU, Oweh is great, because losing Saunders is as important as losing Oweh. So now, Oweh is good? Got it.

I don't really count losing JQ. Dude was injured before he came here, and only played 5 games when he finally did heal.

Lowe was a big loss. Probably cost us 3 wins this season.

Saunders was more important to BYU than Lowe and Kam combined for us.

JQ I won't even count.

And they lost 1 guy, we lost 3. Our lottery pick played, what, 3 games? Is Saunders a lottery pick?

The pg is the most important position on the floor, we had 1 and he's gone.

With our three guys fully healthy all year, we're a much better team.

I just knew we were giing to have people in here using the inury excuse and trying to justify it. Saunders isn't Michael freaking Jordan.

The plan was for him to play the 2nd half the year, it is the very definition of a loss. He played 5 games, it's not like he didn't play at all.

He was expected to be a big part of this team. Pope rolled the dice and came up snake eyes. Wish he didn't roll those dice.

Lowe has never been a great guard throughout college. He may be a PG, but a ball hog at that. Kam was coming into his own before his injury.

If JQ was a lottery pick, he certainly isn't now. It is a miracle he played at all. Still a waste of money.

I guess it depends on the freshman. Anthony Davis, yes. Stokes, no. I think Stokes is more in that $4 million range, but I'm sure some program would offer him more.
Look we need Stokes,if we don't get him, people will be going ,look another miss,If we get him ,we can still put people around him

A bad defensive , bad shooting PG in Lowe, no sir, we were better with Aberdeen at PG once he got used to being the starting pg.

2024/25 stats:

Lowe:
16.8 ppg
5.5 apg
1.8 spg

Saunders:
16.5 ppg
1.6 apg
1.2 spg

Game/set/match

I'll take 17ppg and 5.5 apg out of.my.pg any tine. I don't know why he gets such a bad reputation on here.

Y'all say losing Saunders is worse than losing our 3 guys, that's laughable. If you go off last years stats, Lowe was easily the better player.

So now, take BYU's best big and best stretch 4 off their team too, do they even make the tournament? Doubt it.

And yeah, JQ isn't a lottery pick.now, because sh*t didn’t go right with his knee, but he was expected to make a full recovery and play. He was supposed to he our best center, so it is a massive loss for us.
