Just adding this article, Richie's had more info , but the more we know the better we might feel.
I just wish someone that has experience coaching QBs would be hired .

Carpenter spent the last two seasons with the Chargers, working as a quality control coach with the wide receivers in 2024 and as a quality control coach for the tight ends in 2025. He was also a quality control coach for the Houston Texans in 2015.
In addition to his time as an undergraduate/graduate assistant at Penn State, Carpenter has spent time with several different teams at the college level as well. His most recent college role was at Virginia Tech in 2022-2023, where he was an offensive analyst. His other roles include being an offensive analyst for LSU in 2021, a quality control coach for Penn State in 2018-19, the Quarterbacks coach for Bryant in 2017, and a quality control coach at Princeton in 2016.

How many of those people actually know anything about coaching QBs? I guess we'll find out.
I think the member of Schiano's staff that might be the best to help the QBs on roster is the Director of Integrated High Performance (assistant strength and conditioning coach).
Chas Dodd played the position and might be more of a help than the present Assistant QB coaches Matt Schiano and Cade Ciarrocca .

I was wondering the same thing…I remember when there were the HC/OC/DC and then maybe 8 assistants and then a handful of the grad assistants and that was it. Now, it seams that every position group has 5 assistants and they have assistants. This is crazy.

@Richie O what's the grand total on new hires this off season? I've literally lost count, but it seems there have been more hires then people who left the program.

Richie posted a thread about this very topic. It got zero responses, and only one like, and the guy who liked the thread is an A plus poster. ;)

thank you. I definitely missed it.
A lot of great free content is posted by the staff, but in the off season, there seems to be more interest in off-topic threads.

The takeaway I got from the linked is the new hires are all replacements of people who left. Say hi to Mr. Screw for me, and I hope he is well.

I'm not here every day, so posts like that probably get buried by the OTs.

I will certainly tell him hello from you. the CT in May was again clear so we're good for another 3 months, plus he's back to being a PITA so, as far as I'm concerned, he's cured! LOL
