You could sign anyone in the portal for that. Lendenborg took 3. We would need 30 million dollars for a roster if we spent 12.5 on two guys.

Totally agree. No way I’d give Stokes $7M. I don’t believe that anyway. But, he’s not worth that. He is a great player, but, for $7M you can add 2-3 guys who would make a similar or bigger impact. With probably half the headache, too. I get strong team cancer vibes from Stokes. I’d definitely take a chance on him, though. Just not a $7M chance, or anything close to that.
Pate isn’t worth $5M, either. He’s a glorified spot up shooter who seems selfish in the limited highlights I’ve seen. Both guys will likely be really good on this level. But, not worth those price tags. Somebody needs to reel in Pope if he’s seriously throwing out offers like this. He shouldn’t have to freaking double everybody else’s offers to lure kids to UK. Ridiculous.
How much did Dybentsa get from BYU? He got close to that and was the number one player in the country coming out of high school. Same as Stokes.
