I really like what I'm hearing from Kendall Briles out of spring practice. He just comes across as someone who knows what he's doing, which isn't terribly common around here.
I agree, I was very impressed by what I heard during his presser, gives me a sense of optimism for the season. He cracked me up with that look and smile in response to Phil's strange question, lolI really like what I'm hearing from Kendall Briles out of spring practice. I too really liked the "You freaking Idiot" look he gave him, you have to admit, it was a STUPID question!!I agree, I was very impressed by what I heard during his presser, gives me a sense of optimism for the season. I don't recall that so much.Everyone loved how Muschamp sounded in his first press conferences. In fact, everyone always loves how every coach or coordinator sounds in their early press conferences.
No one knew he wasn't a good head coach at his early pressers. I recall lots of love for his "tough, hard nosed" persona and excitement over his supposed recruiting talent.I don't recall that so much.
Muschamp did know football inside and out though. Just not a good head coach.
Well, sure, but you can tell from listening to Briles that he understands offense. No one knew he wasn't a good head coach at his early pressers. I recall lots of love for his "tough, hard nosed" persona and excitement over his supposed recruiting talent.
My point is, I will wait for what I see on the field in real games against real opponents before I decide on Briles. All Spring practice press conferences are upbeat. I can't ever recall any coach in Spring saying "Yeah, we really don't look too good out there. Maybe we can teach them something in time for the first game in the Fall".
Everyone has their strengths and weknesses. It's critical for an employer to be able to determine which ones an employee has and use them efficiently.I don't recall that so much.

We always win in the springI really like what I'm hearing from Kendall Briles out of spring practice. He just comes across as someone who knows what he's doing, which isn't terribly common around here.
April and August are the top months for Gamecock football. We always win in the spring
An astute observation. Okay, maybe not that astute.April and August are the top months for Gamecock football.
It’s not winning. It’s simply acknowledging that our offensive coordinator actually knows what he’s doing. We always win in the spring
