Ole Miss drop in sec football power rankings post-Kiffin ?

I noticed that we haven’t had the first change in our power ranking since Kiffen left. That’s what I noticed.
When you’re Mississippi State, you’re always going to be power-ranked low in the preseason. Sometimes we deserve it, sometimes we don’t. If all the teams had the exact same talent and coaching levels, we would be last or second to last.
Arkansas has been a worse program the past 20 years, but for whatever reason, college football media types treat State like the Mullen era was just 2014 and it was losing seasons before and after.

I don't think anyone should take a random dude's opinion of a power ranking as gospel, but the issue is Lebby winds up proving these folks who put State at the bottom of the barrel correct. He has yet to prove them wrong, so until that changes don't expect State to climb up in any sort of ranking. (Whatever type it may be). Him saying the football team is night and day is just like saying there's salt in the salt shaker and pepper in the pepper shaker. None of that has any bearing on wins and losses.
Yeah. I don't know how anyone could possibly rank us anything but #16 right now.
The last time we won an SEC game not played in Fayetteville, AR was about a month before Mike Leach died.
