BHA (Bench his ***)So it seems like the Nicholson thread hasn’t worked like the Bass thread did last year.
Throw the guys you were literally complaining 2 posts ago that we need to use in the midweek. Now what do you do? We have 4 innings left and have thrown 2 of our best relievers.
Who would we put at third? I assume Gavin, and I guess Sowers at second, but don’t know if he would be that much of a step up from Cooper.BHA (Bench his ***)
Agreed. It’s not like we’re playing some vaunted pitching staff. Frustrating.Getting sick of these anemic bats. Time to wake up boys.
That should have been the first move. Trust the other guys instead of running the same guys out there all the time. We’ve seen this movie before guys. Remember when we go to Omaha with 2 or 3 reliable arms in the pen? I remember the year when O’brian was our only trusted lefty and we ran him out there every freaking game. Build the bullpen early in the year.Throw the guys you were literally complaining 2 posts ago that we need to use in the midweek.
I think most of us are concerned about it. We looked great against Cal, but today has been brutal.Well we got the lead back, but I'm still concerned about our hitting. Not flashing today.
LSU's bullpen threw 14.1 innings in Omaha last year and two guys threw 12.1 of them. That should have been the first move. Trust the other guys instead of running the same guys out there all the time. Were they in the losers bracket?LSU's bullpen threw 14.1 innings in Omaha last year and two guys threw 12.1 of them.
Not saying bench him for long. Riding the pine sometimes does wondersWho would we put at third? I assume Gavin, and I guess Sowers at second, but don’t know if he would be that much of a step up from Cooper.
No. Only 3 champions (2016 Coastal, 2018 Oregon State, 2023 LSU) since they changed ballparks were in the losers bracket. You generally win the CWS by starting 2-0, not by having incredible pitching depth. Two of those teams were beyond loaded and Oregon State only won because Arkansas dropped a popup. Were they in the losers bracket?
Agree to disagree with the handling of the staff.No. Only 3 champions (2016 Coastal, 2018 Oregon State, 2023 LSU) since they changed ballparks were in the losers bracket. Game threads tend to die when there is nothing to complain about.Carolina breaks it open and starts hitting and the thread dies.....lol.....
Hey, now - at least one of us is reading. I have no pearls of wisdom to dispense to the good folks here. Better to remain silent ...Carolina breaks it open and starts hitting and the thread dies.....lol.....
Matthijs on in the 8th....walks the lead off, Ks Ruocco.....one on, one out top 8
