This should have been the move after chewy. Save Mcduffie and Glauber for 8 and 9 if you need them.
Throw the guys you were literally complaining 2 posts ago that we need to use in the midweek.
Who would we put at third? I assume Gavin, and I guess Sowers at second, but don’t know if he would be that much of a step up from Cooper.
Interesting story for UNCG pitcher John Horton.....was on Mt Olive's fall roster, then got tired of it and went to work at Home Depot.....coach called and asked if he'd come play since he had a year left...he declined. Worked more and realized playing baseball much more enjoyable than working full time at Home Depot....

That should have been the first move. Trust the other guys instead of running the same guys out there all the time. We’ve seen this movie before guys. Remember when we go to Omaha with 2 or 3 reliable arms in the pen? I remember the year when O’brian was our only trusted lefty and we ran him out there every freaking game. Build the bullpen early in the year.

Well we got the lead back, but I'm still concerned about our hitting. Not flashing today.
I think most of us are concerned about it. We looked great against Cal, but today has been brutal.
LSU's bullpen threw 14.1 innings in Omaha last year and two guys threw 12.1 of them.
Ugly start to the inning....ball between third and short, Nicholson didn't get it and Schaffner looked like he thought Nicholson had it......then a wild throw on a pick off attempt by Flannery. Berry sacs Brittain to third and Flannery nearly misplayed that one too.

Polk flies out to shallow right....long run by Gallaher who was playing in with the rest of the infield. Low key nice play there and quick throw to keep runner at third.

No. Only 3 champions (2016 Coastal, 2018 Oregon State, 2023 LSU) since they changed ballparks were in the losers bracket. You generally win the CWS by starting 2-0, not by having incredible pitching depth. Two of those teams were beyond loaded and Oregon State only won because Arkansas dropped a popup.
I wonder how Hargett would do at 3rd? He came in as a middle infielder…Leave our middle alone unless you see it as a permanent move for Gavin.
