I was going to say that’s 5 assists from 5 different outfielders in 4 games and how I’d never seen that but I guess Hull didn’t technically get an assist.
Three lazy fly ball outs by the Heels as they go in order.....UNCG with some momentum heading into T5
Walker needs to take Chewy out for dinner tonight. Chewy’s ERA did not deserve those 2 runs.
Wish I knew what was up with McDuffie. Not getting it done this year.
Having to use Mcduffie and Glauber in the midweek before the 7th inning is insane to me.
McDuffie has been good the last 2 weeks. But after throwing both Saturday and Sunday + a cross-country flight, I'm surprised he threw today. Not surprised he wasn't sharp.
What is going on with McDuffie? He used to be so automatic. Sophomore slump I guess, but it’s not good.
Blow the best arms? They're going to throw like 30 pitches each. First baseball season you've ever followed? Bullpen guys have always gotten work in the midweek.
Yes ours have. And how many CWS have we been to and won? These are games when you find other guys to trust. You can’t keep running the same guys out there every time.
You hit the ball and create some breathing room for your bullpen (hopefully)!
Worst case scenario it gives some different guys an opportunity to pitch in some high leverage situations, if the score remains close.
That’s what we should have done in the 4th! Don’t bring Mcduffie in. Don’t bring Glauber in. Let other guys figure it out. That’s my entire argument.
Let’s score some freaking runs now boys so we don’t have to use Glauber any longer. We will need him this Friday or Saturday.
