I'm in Belle Mead, close to the Hills border. Yes, I know about that plan. At first, it sounds crazy to put a Chik Fil A at that intersection. However, that company is very good/innovative with managing traffic and designing drive-thru lanes that can queue a ton of vehicles.
Regardless, would love a CFA in the area!![]()
Yeah, I noticed that Moe's closed. That place was pretty successful until Chipotle opened in the old Stop & Shop complex. I don't think they ever recovered from that.Me too
Looks like Moes is closed on 206

Those 2 large light-to-light loops roads are going to help a lot. No more left hand turns from 206. No more left hand turning lane or signal. Just straight and a new dedicated right-turn lane. Also, remember the 518 entrance to the Promenade. Most folks in town will use that and completely avoid 206. Fingers crossed.I see traffic nightmare.how is not going to backup even more than already at the shoprite and wawa lights
Yes any updates on Rutgers campus plans and projects? No updates on Brower and CA quad, or any other projects?

The growth of Hillsborough and Montgomery has been huge.It dont know i think it will still be bad
I don't know about you, but I blame the last 20 years of Montgomery mayors for everything. And honestly, there still isn't any hope for completion. The project is 3 parts:
Part 1: The actual bypass (shortened, but completed)
Part 2: Widening from the bypass to the CSX train bridge near Camplain Road (delayed, but ongoing)
Part 3: Replacement of the CSX train bridge
Part 3 is the MOST important part of the project and is the biggest pinch-point on 206 in Hillsborough. This work is NOT even funding yet. LOL! The road widening work is completely pointless until the train bridge is replaced.
What about PJ Pancake House when is that opening and when will Tigers Tale be moved? And that WaWa has to be the most run down in all of NJI don't know about you, but I blame the last 20 years of Montgomery mayors for everything.
Also, why can't they create some kind of access road from 518 to access the back of the Shoprite complex? I have no idea what's back there but I'm guessing it's homeowner land? Also, when will the Panera/Shake Shack be open?
Maybe because the land behind and adjacent to the SR complex is a different freaking town. LOL! I think the mayor before me tried to create a 518 entrance but Rocky Hill had issues with the proposed plan.I don't know about you, but I blame the last 20 years of Montgomery mayors for everything.

Wawa has been desperately trying to get a new location and enough land for a modern complex for 15 years. We spoke with them about every side of that intersection and their attempts to buy the land. Old Texaco/parts store. The bank on the Promenade side. The existing Shell station and lawn mover business! The lawn mover guy refused to sell to Wawa. LOL!What about PJ Pancake House when is that opening and when will Tigers Tale be moved? And that WaWa has to be the most run down in all of NJ
The growth of Hills is going to get a hell of a lot worse over the next decade. Sad to say. They got destroyed with the last round of NJ's COAH housing mandate. The growth of Hillsborough and Montgomery has been huge.
I dont know why Hillsborough couldnt get wawa to take over Exxon on Triangle and build thereWawa has been desperately trying to get a new location and enough land for a modern complex for 15 years. I believe all the plans for a new TT fell apart. Not sure they are moving anymore. The Promenade offered Cory a brand new building, but it didn't work out for some reason. PJ's was delayed for 6 months due to the developer/financing but it's all been worked out. Look for PJ's to open later in the summer.

******* alertLast time I was there people were waving Confederate flags on Amwell & 206. The bad element is there already. Hope that wasn't you.
Good response. Says everything we need to know.******* alert![]()
No community is safe from paid protesters on any side of an issue. Just modern society. FYI, you live in a much more rebel yell area of the state. LOL!Last time I was there people were waving Confederate flags on Amwell & 206. The bad element is there already. Hope that wasn't you.
Paid or not, which I doubt in Hillsborough, a bit jarring to see in 2026 in any part of NJ. It was absolutely disgusting. No community is safe from paid protesters on any side of an issue. Just modern society. FYI, you live in a much more rebel yell area of the state. LOL!
The same “protesters” were also in Princeton for another professionally organized ICE event. Both sides feed off each other.Paid or not, which I doubt in Hillsborough, a bit jarring to see in 2026 in any part of NJ. It was absolutely disgusting.
Yes I know that but depends which town in HC. Where I am, the river towns, and others are not.

Regardless, way more confederate flags per capita in HC than Hillsborough. Hey, speaking of HC. Read an article that says Hunterdon Central HS enrollment is down by 1/3 over the past decade. Wow. Even with current demographic changes (less births) that’s still a huge decline. Does HC even need 3 high schools? My daughter plays against South Hunterdon quite a bit. That school population seems a little light as well.
Yes, Kasia is awesome. I know the owner very well. It's been a great additional to the community and the complex is starting to fill out nicely. My little one and her neighborhood crew go to the Hungry Tiger Cafe all the time!I don't want to hijack the thread any longer but yes I saw that article as well. I would imagine they could consolidate but then some students could have a decent commute which I'm sure would be opposed. I think at minimum maybe South Hunterdon and DelVal could be combined and then maybe North and Voorhees but that is only off the top of my head.
Last thing I will say is that Kasia is a great place! Some really good stuff in there.
Lol if only those people had a "Hate Has No Place Here" or "Free Palestine" yard sign instead, that's better.Last time I was there people were waving Confederate flags on Amwell & 206. The bad element is there already. Hope that wasn't you.
On Edit: not worth it.Lol if only those people had a "Hate Has No Place Here" or "Free Palestine" yard sign instead, that's better.
