WBC semifinal shatters record despite airing on FS1 opposite Oscars
Airing on FS1 opposite the Academy Awards, the United States' win in the World Baseball Classic semifinals delivered a milestone audience.
The star power goes up every time they do this. They did a good job of marketing it too. What's the reason for the jump? That was a huge increase and can't be attributed to anything random. Can't believe it had more viewers than selection Sunday...
Last nights game was on FOX.Hate I was late to the awareness about this event. Didn’t see any of it. Felt too late to watch once I became fully aware of what it was. I probably couldn’t have gotten it anyway since it was FS1? I definitely need to make a point to watch next time.
If that stops you from watching sports then you’re about to not be watching anything.I used to be a big follower of the MLB & NBA. The more the salaries rose, the less I watched. The NFL is about to follow the same fate for my viewership. I don't mean to sound like I'm yelling at clouds, but the professional games have seemed to lose a little something. They should listen to people like Charles Barkley. He went off on the NIL last night during the basketball broadcast; it was really good.
