I'm OK with it. Kid's got to get some experience and this is about as low risk situation as you'll get. Just keep guys ready in the pen just in case.

Bauer needs some reps too hopefully. Anything positive from him at this point to get his confidence right. Chance hitting 2nd also. Guessing this is temporary. Hmmmmmmm
I'm afraid we're running out of options due to how bad Sweeney and Foster haven been. It's really unfortunate because if we could get absolutely anything out of those guys + Bauer, I feel like our bullpen would be a lot better than it's been. However, when we keep having to move guys up so that we can somehow find 3rd/4th starters, it really puts a strain on the pen.
If he doesn't get in tonight's game, he may be on the shelf the rest of the year. The fact he didn't get in the 26-0 game isn't a good sign.
Wish Oak would comment on the situation. The last thing we need is a super talented, heralded freshman to hit the portal this summer because he's not gotten any more chances
If you're trying to build any kind of confidence, throwing him into a game when it's 20-0 says "this is the only situation I trust you in"...
I don't know if confidence is an issue for him or not, but if so, I can understand why he wasn't put in. But tonights game would be perfect. Give him the 5th or 6th inning and tell him he's on the hill till the end

Hard to get all these guys work when you run rule teams in 7 innings.
